Training to Become a Tutor

Our tutor training consists of 2 parts:

1. Taking 8 online training modules (self-paced, approximately 9 hours)
2. Discussion groups (4 hours total) conducted by our training coordinator over Zoom or in-person.

Prospective tutors should register with LVMC by completing our online application. We will confirm receipt of your application within one week.

New Tutor Training Orientation Schedule

Saturday, March 7, 9:00 am – 1:00 am at the LVMC Office, 16 Elm Street, Morristown

Monday, March 16 and 23 Evenings, 6:00-8:00 pm, over Zoom   

Thursday, April 9 and 16. 12:00-2:00 pm at the LVMC Office, Morristown (tutors should plan to attend both dates)

We anticipate offering additional New Tutor Orientation Workshops in June, September, October, and November. Dates will be posted soon.
